Welcoming Those With Some Background in Focusing
Wellspring: Returning to and Deepening the Fundamentals
The Fundamentals are the essence of focusing: slowing down to bring a kind of open, friendly awareness to our felt experience. As we practice for a while, or learn new “advanced” materials, sometimes we drift from the essence of what makes focusing so powerful - the cultivation of an inner environment where fresh steps can (and do) emerge.
In these meetings, we will spend more time with the fundamentals of focusing. We will have time to address challenges or curiosities that may have arisen in your focusing processes. We will also explore themes around focusing partnerships, going further into how to become a more empowered focuser, a more relaxed (yet supporting) companion, and provide support around challenges that may have arisen for you in focusing partnerships.
(60 minutes, $25)
Practitioners: Integrating Focusing into Work with Clients
These meetings are for practitioners (therapists, bodyworkers, coaches, energy healers, or anyone else who works with clients) who wish to continue learning, having support, and building community with other practitioners who are bringing focusing into their work, or wanting to and wondering how.
We will have opportunities for informal “consultation” type conversations to address challenges you are encountering in work with clients and how the focusing way of being, or focusing methodology might help.
(60 minutes, $25)
Focusing and Complex Developmental Trauma
For those with complex developmental trauma histories to explore together how focusing and Right Relating supports emergence from suffering and empowers us to live and flourish with complex inner worlds.
Too often, there is an unspoken bias that healing from complex trauma means becoming more like those who don't have complex trauma histories. But our minds, brains, and bodies are different because of our formative experiences, in pretty incredible ways that we can appreciate, learn to navigate, and even celebrate.
Agreements: We do not share our “origin stories” or specific traumatic experiences in this group. We do not comment on what other people share. We keep our videos on (other than brief interruptions when unavoidable). Meetings are not recorded and all content is confidential.

Complex Developmental Trauma: An Encouraging Perspective
Open to All
An introduction to what may seem a somewhat different approach to understanding complex developmental trauma, this workshop covers complex trauma, how it lives in the body (the focusing body, understood as the whole of one’s felt experience), how it makes perfect sense in its own way, and how this way of understanding it makes it easier to live with and emerge from more fully. Included:
Complex Developmental Trauma is not C-PTSD.
CDT as a brilliant adaptation to the early environment(s).
The inner experience of complexity and complex systems. Interfacing with less complex systems.
System health as the linkage of differentiated parts. Over- and under-differentiation, over- and under-linkage.
“Normativity bias” in working with CDT (with ourselves and others). A different approach.
“Memory”, “narrative” and other challenges.
From trying to fix to learning to enjoy our complexity.
